About The Golden Gourd
Our Story
The Golden Gourd was born of inspiration and love for all things fall. Our mom, who passed five years ago after a long battle with cancer, loved fall, hospitality and everything seasonal. She would always say "there is a season for everything" and we know she would be so proud of our small seasonal business. She was also an artist and left a legacy of many beautiful drawings and sketches, ironically, many of pumpkins. Its a joy to share her artwork and love of fall with you.
Our Cause
This year we want to bless a family or individual battling stage 4 cancer with a complimentary pumpkin display on their front porch. If you know of a family going through treatment this fall, please write to us in the notes page at checkout and we will work with you to process the submission for the complimentary display. Additionally, The Golden Gourd plans to donate a percentage of all sales to cancer research. It's a cause so near to our hearts.
